Who We Are

The Adams County Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is an IRC 501c-3 non-profit
organization that will provide shelter and care for lost, abandoned
and abused animals, investigate and prosecute cruelty offenders, help
control animal overpopulation and educate the community about spay/neuter
programs, animal wellness and safety.
Serving Adams County since
April 30,1976, the Adams County SPCA provides vital services to animals
and people alike through sheltering and adopting animals, providing
positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable animals and
for owned animals through public training classes, investigating animal
cruelty and neglect, providing adult and youth education, and rescuing
animals in emergency situations.
A private nonprofit organization
that receives no federal government funding, the Adams County SPCA
is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments,
and some fees for service.

ANIMAL SHELTER APPRECIATION
WEEK - "Animal shelters act as safe havens for homeless and abused
animals, providing them with comfort and care," Adams County Commissioners
said Wednesday as they proclaimed Nov. 4 to Nov. 10 "Animal Shelter
Appreciation Week." Pictured for the proclamation ceremony are,
