SHADY IN HER NEW HOME!!!
Shady is a 5 month
old Black Lab found as a stray. What a sweetie she was! She was adopted
about two weeks ago to a wonderful family, the Lee family. Shady also
shares her new home with her companion Eve (a Blue Shar-Pei). The
Lee family wrote us to tell us how great Shady is doing.
"Shady
has been doing great. She and Eve share food bowls. I think both Eve's
and Shady's favorite thing is to
walk down to the creek and across it into part of a forest that we
own. They enjoy the morning and afternoon walks. We don't always go
down to the creek and beyond, but they both really enjoy playing in
the creek, and love the forest too."
"They enjoy playing tug of war with the toys. When one wins they
sort of try to entice the other to battle again. They also play at
chewing on each other. They really enjoy each others company. I took
Shady to the vet last weekend, Eve was very upset and would have nothing
to do with my wife for a half hour or so while we were gone. We were
gone only a couple hours. She was really happy to see Shady when she
came back from the vet. Shady also listens very well and is very trainable."
We are so happy for Shady and her new family ... Congratulations to
all of them!
Pictured below is Shady with her companion Eve (Blue Shar-Pei).

INGA ONE YEAR LATER!!!
One year ago, Inga
a West Highland white terrier was brought to the ACSPCA as a stray.
She was here just a few short days and was adopted September 2006
by the Sheppard family who fell in love with her. She now has
a new name, her new name is Darla. Here are a couple pictures
of Darla with her new family having fun at the beach. She is a very
happy little girl and loved very much!!!! I think she's just a little
spoiled too!!!!
This is my new Mom (Sandy
Sheppard) and me on vacation on a boat ride, wearing my new sweatshirt.
Pretty snazzy isn't it?? We had soo much fun!!!
My little brother (Callie), my Mom and I with some kind of strange
sea critters.
Here I am with Mr. &
Mrs. Santa Claus last Christmas! And my Mom (Sandy) too. Oh, what
a wonderful Christmas it was with my new family!!! Oh, what a wonderful
life it is with my new family! It can't get any better.
Signed Darla

HAPPY NEWS MAISSEY HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME!!!
Pictured left to right,
Maissey (Yellow Lab), Rocky (Australian Shepherd), Rascal
(Corgi), and Tina Appel holding (Princess). Tina adopted
Princess from our shelter 2 years ago, Princess was about 13 years
old at the time of adoption.
Maissey had fallen on
bad times. She was surrendered to the shelter by her owners because
they could not take care of her anymore, she was 9 years old. Older
dogs are often overlooked and passed right by, but Tina loves to take
care of the older ones and give them a loving, caring home for the
rest of their lives. Tina owns "Shags" in Hanover and volunteers
her services to groom lots of the dogs that arrive to the shelter
in really bad shape, dirty and with lots of mats. She gets them all
cleaned up and looking good and ready for adoption. Just so happens
that Tina came to the shelter to pick up some dogs that needed haircuts
and saw Maissey and it was all over with. Tina wanted to give Maissey
the life that she deserves!! Maissey will be sharing her new home
with three brothers and sisters plus all of the other dogs that come
to get a bath at "Shags". Congratulations to Maissey and
her new family!!!!!

HAPPY NEWS SIMON HAS A NEW HOME!!!
Simon came in to
the shelter as a stray in need of a good grooming. He was such a mess
we really weren't sure what type of dog he was. Thanks to Tina Appel
of "Shags" of Hanover for volunteering her time to clean
this sweet little guy up. He cleaned up very nicely and we discovered
that he was actually a Bichon Frise. He was such a lovable little
guy and was spotted by Sarah Wherley (holding Simon) who immediately
fell in love with him. Simon also stole the hearts of Sarah's daughter
(Kathy Sanders) and Grandaughter (Joanna) and it was
a unanimous decision that Simon was to be a new member of the family.
We will miss Simon and his endless hugs ... but we are soo happy that
he has found his forever home. Congratulations to Simon and his new
family!!!!

POM POM IS DOING GREAT IN HER NEW HOME!!!
Can you believe this cute
little Pomeranian named Pom Pom was found as a stray? How could
anyone let her get away? That's what we ask ourselves all the time.
Pom Pom has the sweetest little disposition about her and is so much
fun. It sure didn't take her long to get adopted. John Przybylski
and Diane Mayhew had been wanting a Pomeranian and just happen to
come in at the right time. It was a perfect match made. Pom Pom sleeps
in bed with them and lounges around like a little princess. She loves
people and gets soo excited and jumps all around just to get a little
attention from whoever. She is a real lovebug. Congratulations to
Pom Pom and her new family!!

DERBY IS DOING GREAT WITH HIS NEW MOM!
Derby and his new
Mom (Sandra Masenheimer) stopped by for a visit to say "Hi".
We really enjoyed seeing Derby, he is doing soo great! He was adopted
in June by Sandra ... who couldn't wait to take him home. She adopted
Derby the day of her Birthday Party ... and of course Derby attended
and had lots of fun. Sandra is spoiling him rotten, just like he was
here. Derby was surrendered by his previous owner of ten years. He
did not look the greatest, his hair was really matted around his eyes
and needed a haircut badly. A local groomer donated her services to
clean him up and boy did he look cute when he came back. Unfortunately
his teeth were in such bad shape that they all had to be removed.
Derby was such a trooper through all of this. I mean to loose your
family of ten years, stuck in a shelter, have all of your teeth removed
and having to take lots of yucky medicines. He is such a sweet little
boy and doesn't he look cute. We wish Sandra and Derby many years
of happiness!!!!

CRASH (who used to be Spearmint) IS DOING
GREAT IN HIS NEW HOME!!!
Here are some cute pictures
of Crash (used to be Spearmint) in his new home!!! Spearmint
arrived one day with another dog we named Topaz (aka Smiley), the
two of them were best buddies and needed each other. They shared the
same kennel, the same toys, the same food etc. They were both really
sweet, loving dogs.
When Topaz was adopted, poor little Spearmint was severely depressed.
He waited and waited for his new home, a whole month after Topaz was
adopted. That's when the Tails of Hope Sanctuary stepped in and found
Spearmint a foster home. Well, heres Crash with
his new family after about a year what a pretty boy he is and
how lucky to find such a nice family to live with! Congratulations
to Spearmint for finding his forever home!!!

Spearmint spoiled? NO WAY!!

OSCAR IS DOING GREAT IN HIS NEW HOME!!!

Oscar aka (Charlie)
Little Mr. Oscar
aka Charlie (his new name) is living the life of luxury.
He sleeps in bed underneath the covers with his new Mom (Nicole
Smith - not pictured) and loves to take long siestas. The Grandmother
of Charlie (Marian Smith) said that her daughter Nicole loves
Charlie soo much that guess whos' picture is on the back of her
check holder at her job as a waitress? You guessed it ... Nicole
proudly displays Charlies' cute little face. She is one proud Momma!
Charlie loves to give big smiles, but we couldn't get him to smile
for the picture today because he was a little nervous. He was probably
afraid that he was being brought back to the shelter. I don't think
there is a chance of that. He is loved way too much in his new home.
Charlie was first brought to the shelter as a stray with his brother
Meyer, they both found wonderful homes. Charlie has been in his
new home almost one year. Marian says that Charlie loves to go for
car rides ... ears flying in the wind. He hates water and is finicky
as a cat, he holds his little feet up and tries not to get wet.
We are soo happy for Charlie and his new family ... and that he
is getting spoiled, he deserves it!!!!
Oscar (Charlie) with Grandmom (Marian Smith) and Nicoles'
sister (Melissa).

HEATHER IS DOING GREAT IN HER NEW HOME!!!
Doesn't Heather look content
in her new home?!!! Heather (aka Cinnamon Girl) was adopted
to Daniel and Janine Sherman on June 11th and we have already
heard from the Shermans telling us about how Cinnamon Girl is doing.
Janine wrote us and this is what she told us about Cinnamon Girl and
her new life. "She loves to look out the glass in our sunroom
and watch the birds sing and squirrels romp. She seems very content
and very attached to my husband who works out of our home, so she
is never alone. She stays within 5 feet of him all day. If he uses
the bathroom, she waits outside the closed door. He takes her for
short rides in his truck and she likes to sniff out the window and
see the sights. She enjoys short walks and is taking in all the sights
on our road. She has a fast gait and keeps us moving. She is like
a natural built -in treadmill! She likes to play tug of war and chew
on her doggie bones. She jumps high to get a toy she likes and then
pretends to shake it to get you to take it again. She has sat through
multiple major brushing sessions and one bath so far, she could not
wait to get out of the tub! Her unneeded hair has filled at least
two waste baskets! She is anxious to run loose in our wooded acres
and stand on the rocks, but for now she is content to be on the leash
until we know she will listen and stay nearby. The thunderstorms of
the last two nights have not pleased her, she squeezed under the desk
counter in the kitchen to feel safe, which was quite a squeeze. She
has tried out all the beds in the house and will pose for a picture
anywhere. She has had a tour of our travel trailer and she says she
is ready to go camping! She will get to meet and play with our grandchildren
this weekend, they are excited to meet her. She gets to visit Dr.
Dodson on Monday, so that will be another new adventure. She has come
home." Congratulations to Cinnamon Girl and her new family!!!

PUPPIES FOUND AT GETTYSBURG BATTLEFIELD IN A MILK
CRATE ARE DOING GREAT!!!!
Look at two of the Gettysburg
Battlefield puppies now!! About a year and a half ago a park ranger
at the Battlefield found seven little three day old puppies abandoned
in a milk crate. Their eyes were not open yet and without their mother,
they needed round the clock care. Luckily the Gebhart Family
volunteered to foster the little puppies. The puppies had to be hand
fed every two hours, and with seven puppies that sure was a handful.
The Gebhart's took very good care of these adorable little guys and
all of them survived. In fact, they adopted two of them. The other
five were adopted the day they were brought back to the shelter. Pictured
here is Kayla Gebhart with Brutus (on the left) and
Princess (on the right) the pups she adopted. Princess was
the little runt of the litter and Brutus was the biggest pup. I'd
say they both sure have grown up!!! We think they are Newfoundland
mixes, so they are not exactly a lap dog! We are soo thankful for
the Gebhart's taking the time to care for these little guys and give
them the TLC that they needed!

HAPPY NEWS CHAMP HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!

Nathan Hayhurst
(pictured here) and Amanda Hayhurst have just adopted Champ
and taken him to his new home. Champ was so happy to get out of here
and start his new life ... he is shown here getting an ear rub from
Nathan enjoying every minute of it. Champ was brought here because
his owner had too many dogs and could not take care of him. Well Champ
is going to be taken good care of now. He will be living the life
of luxury on a big farm, where he will be spoiled rotten. He will
also have two playmates, Jack & Milo, a yellow and a chocolate
lab. We are soo happy for Champ!! Congratulations to Champ and his
new family!!!!

PACEY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!! AFTER ALMOST FOUR MONTHS!!
Pacey and his
new Mom (Meghan Garland) hopped into the car and rode off together
to Paceys' new home on a 300 acre horse farm that Meghans' Mom manages.
Pacey has been here at the shelter just a few days short of four months.
We were so glad to see him finally get a great home. Meghan lives
on a horse farm where several shows are put on a year. She rides and
trains hunter jumper horses. Pacey will have a luxurious life riding
around in golf carts around this 300 acre farm. Of course there will
be some playmates for him too. Other dogs on the farm are Henry (a
Westie), Sneakers (a mixed breed), and two mixed Cocker Spaniel rescue
dogs. Pacey deserves happiness, he has lived the first two years of
his life on a chain and never knew what human companionship was like.
Now he's getting that chance!! Congratulations to Pacey and his new
Mom!!!

BUSTER IS DOING GREAT IN HIS NEW HOME!!!!
Buster was adopted
to the Edwards family and is doing great! Buster and his new
family are pictured above. Buster was just 5 months old and a little
scared when he was here at the shelter. His owner did not know the
importance of spaying and neutering animals and therefore she had
two litters of puppies. Buster was unwanted and she brought him here,
along with Willow, who was from another litter of puppies. Of course,
one of the first things the SPCA did was have Buster neutered. He
also had never been on a leash before and he didn't much care for
it at first, but he was starting to learn that it wasn't so bad. He
was a very sweet young man, just a little shy and would need a home
where he could get lots of tender loving care.
The Edwards family knew that Buster was going to take a little extra
work, and adopted him anyway. Here is a little note from Martha Edwards:
"Hi there. I just wanted to let you know how Buster is doing.
He is a wonderful addition to our family. He is still a little shy,
but seems so grateful to be here. The children absolutely adore him!!
He is so sweet and gentle and now does great on the leash!! Thank
you for taking a chance on us. It was definitely worth it. We went
to the vet this week and everything looks great. I just wanted to
thank you!! He is the perfect dog for us." Martha. Congratulations
to Buster and his new family!!!!

LILLY IS DOING GREAT IN HER NEW HOME!!!!
Remember Lilly?
She was the 6 year old Dalmation that her owners were moving and could
not take her with them. She was a very well mannered sweetheart and
was adopted to a wonderful family. Here’s a little note we received
from Lillys’ new Mom (Ann).
“Lilly is quite a hit with all the senior citizens at the
condos where my parent's live in Spring Grove. I will get a picture
of her with me one of these days, but here is one with my mother's
"dog". Lilly is the one on the left, smiling. She is doing great and
is a wonderful companion.” Ann

HAPPY NEWS ROSIE WAS ADOPTED!
Rosie the Lhasa
Poo has been adopted to a wonderful family. She wasn't here long.
Rosie was quite the popular little girl ... we had tons of calls about
her. One techinician reported five calls within 15 minutes. Rosie
was only four and a half months old and her owners were moving and
could not take her with them. She was heartbroken, but didn't let
it show. She was the most sweetest, funnest little furball you could
imagine. She was the kind that sees the glass half full. When she
was brought here to the shelter, she was a total mess. Her hair was
very long and matted down to the skin. She had to be in some serious
pain with the hair pulling at her skin. But of course, she was still
a barrel of fun. Volunteers Liz Lang and Shura Lang
spent hours trying to get all of the mats out of Rosies' hair. Her
hair was so matted that shavers were not working well, so they resorted
to a pair of scissors. The Langs' made Rosie look and feel much better.
When they were done with her beauty session she just bounced all over
the place, and was so happy. You could just see the relief in her
eyes!
Liz Lang (left) and Shura Lang (right) making Rosie
look beautiful and feeling like a new woman!
Rosie after her haircut!!
Rosie was hoping to find a new family where she would be loved the
way that she would love them. She found that home with the Wilson
family. Robin, Daniel, Hanna, & Caleb Wilson,
& Daisy (a Border/Lab mix - who was also adopted from the
Adams County SPCA three years ago) were so excited to adopt Rosie.
They fell in love with her, that wasn't hard to do. Daisy and Rosie
hit it off like best pals. We are soo happy for Rosie and her new
family The Wilson's.
Pictured from left to right, Caleb Wilson with Rosie
and Robin Wilson with Daisy.

HAPPY NEWS LLOYD WAS ADOPTED!
Lloyd the big
Boxer mix who thinks he is a lap dog, who was just dropped off and
abandoned outside the shelter has found a new home. Lloyd, pictured
here with Kara Ahlbreg his new Momma, will be sharing
a new home with Kara, two cats and his new Dad, Chris Parrish.
Lloyd was soo happy (look at that face), he just couldn't wait to
get out the front doors and head to his new home. We are sure that
Lloyd will provide Kara and Chris lots and lots of kisses and love
for a long time. Lloyd truly is a sweet dog who has found happiness.
Congratulations to Lloyd, Kara and Chris!!

HAPPY NEWS ROCKY WAS ADOPTED!
Rocky was
not here long before he captured the heart of the Burtop family.
How could anyone resist Rockys' cute little face and sweet demeanor.
Rocky (now called Biscuit) is only 4 months old and was surrendered
by his owner because they had to move to an apartment that would not
allow dogs. But luck fell Rocky's way and he now has a wonderful new
home with Boomer (adopted from the ACSPCA in November
2006 - see his story below) and Domino (a Dalmation). He also
shares his new home with a cat whom he loves and licks her all over.
He's got a wonderful life now and loves his new family. We caught
him in this picture trying to lick Brianna Burtops face. He absolutely
adores them. Rocky even gets to sleep in bed with Mom and Dad with
his very own special pillow. Rocky also loves to go riding in the
family's convertible. I think he's spoiled rotten. Jessica Burtop
says that "They feel very fortunate to have found Rocky".
Congratulations to Rocky (aka Biscuit) and the Burtop family!!!!

HAPPY NEWS HUEY WAS ADOPTED!
Remember Huey?
Huey was a stray kitten that was brought to the shelter and started
showing signs of Upper Respiratory Infection. Luckily we had a foster
home that took Huey in and medicated him, gave him lots of love (more
like Huey gave them lots of love ... he is a real loverboy) and nursed
him back to health. He was brought back to the shelter as a healthy
little boy and adopted out to a loving home almost as soon as he hit
the front door of the shelter. You see, Huey is an exceptional cat
... extremely affectionate, likes dogs (yes it is true), likes
cats and everyone he meets.
The Stull family gave Huey his new forever home and
are so happy with their new family member. Pictured above is Tia
Stull holding the little sweetheart. Tia loves Huey so much;
he follows her everywhere and even sleeps with her. Huey also shares
his home with another cat that is twice his size ... Huey is fearless!!!
and the two play several times a day. Congratulations to Huey and the Stull family!!

HAPPY NEWS TIZZY IS DOING GREAT IN HER NEW HOME!
Remember Tizzy?
Tizzy (now Daisy), her brothers and their Mom
were a product of someone that thought it would be cute to have puppies,
then didn't want them once they were born. Nor did he want their Mom
anymore. He brought all five to the shelter and surrendered them.
The puppies spent the first 9 weeks of their entire life living in
a barn with very little human interaction. So they had not had the
love that they need and therefore they are very shy around humans.
Tizzy stole the heart of Gail Wherley and Gail adopted Tizzy
right away; even with the baggage that Tizzy carried. Tizzy now shares
a home with another dog named "Dusty" who is a special needs doggie
in a wheelchair. Gail says that Tizzy has come out of her little shell
and is a very smart little girl ... she knows "in" and "out"
already. Tizzy even attended the big family Easter event, with lots
of people and really had a great time. We are so happy for Tizzy and
Gail and wish them many, many years of happiness!

HAPPY NEWS SHIRLEY WAS ADOPTED!
The Seifert's have
a new addition to their family! Shirley, our black Torti cat
who has been here for three months has finally got a loving home.
Shirley's sister, Betsy was adopted two weeks before and then the
Seifert's came walking through the door and took Shirley home. Although
Shirley and Betsy were found as strays, they always had a very sweet
personality and just patiently waited. Congratulations to Shirley
and the Seiferts!

HAPPY NEWS BARNEY WAS ADOPTED!
Barney has got
a new home! The Huntington family (picture left to right:
Adis holding Barney, Jim holding
Nick and Sehad) saw Barneys picture on
the website. They saw his beauty even though his tongue hangs out
of his mouth, and he has one really bad haircut. When Barney was brought
to the shelter he was a horrible mess. His toenails were inches long,
curled around in circles and barely sticking out of mats of hair on
paws that looked like knitted gloves. We took him right away to the
Gettysburg Animal Hospital. He had to be anesthetized to shave out
all of the mats; it would have been way too painful otherwise. Once
his hair grows out, he will look more like what he is... a Shihtzu
mix. He is senior citizen about 8 - 10 years old.
The Huntington's wanted so much to give Barney a good life for the
rest of his years. They walked right in the front door and asked for
Barney. They knew right away that they were going to take Barney home
with them. They introduced Nick, (the Huntington's 2 year old Jack
Russell Terrier) and the two acted like best friends. They will have
so much fun together. Barney was so comfortable with the Hungtington's
that he fell asleep in Adis's arms during the picture. We are all
so happy for Barney and the Huntington family!!!

HAPPY NEWS BESSIE WAS ADOPTED!
Bessie goes from
a very unlucky stray dog ... to a lucky dog in a new loving home!!
Todd Williams came by the SPCA looking for a new companion.
He has really missed not having a dog. Todd's Grandmother (Rosemary
Williams) came with him to look for his new companion and
they both fell in love with Bessie. It didn't take much for them to
fall in love with Bessie, she is the sweetest dog ever. Bessie has
been a real joy to have her here with us at the shelter. She will
be truly missed, but we are so thankful that she has found her forever
home. Congratulations to the Williams' family and Bessie!!!

HAPPY NEWS SNOODLES WAS ADOPTED!
Snoodles (one of
the four Lab/Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix puppies) has been
adopted to the Newberry family. Snoodles, his Mom, two brothers
and sister were a product of someone that thought it would be cute
to have puppies, then didn't want them once they were born. Nor did
he want their Mom anymore. He brought all five to the shelter and
surrendered them.
The puppies spent the
first 9 weeks of their entire life living in a barn with very little
human interaction. So they have not had the love that they need and
therefore they are very shy around humans. Luckily, The Newberry family
has been looking for a dog to become their new family member and fell
in love with Snoodles. We wish Snoodles and his new family the best!

HAPPY NEWS BONGO WAS ADOPTED!

Bongo has been
finally adopted!!! Bongo is pictured here with his new owner (Bill
Miller). Just so happens that Bill had been looking for a
Saint Bernard and Bongo had been looking for a new home. In fact Bongo
had been looking for a new home for four months. Sometimes you have
to wait for great things to happen. Bongo deserves it! He and his
brother were treated very bad in the past and they both still remained
sweet, fun loving guys. Bongo can now put his neglectful past behind
him and enjoy his new life. We sure will miss the big boy!!

HAPPY NEWS CHANTILLY WAS ADOPTED!

Chantilly has found
a new loving home with Elizabeth Brown. Chantilly (now called
Faith) was one of five, six week old puppies that were a case
of accidental breeding and were surrendered to the shelter. Chantilly
and her siblings are Scottie - Bischon mixes. Absolutely adorable!
Four of them found new homes within two days. Congratulations to Chantilly
and the Brown Family!!!!

HAPPY NEWS HAMMY WAS ADOPTED!

Hammy finally found
a forever home after being here for 5 months. Hammy is the biggest
cat we have ever seen. When he came in he weighed 20 pounds! After
some weight management food and a loving foster home (with Jen
Conan - on the left) Hammy slimmed down to 17 pounds. He is
just a big loverboy. He was surrendered here by his owner because
Hammy and his other cats did not get along and he sprayed. We had
Hammy neutered and he has never sprayed. He also shared a big cat
tower with four other cats very harmoniously. He loved being with
the other cats. Hammy now shares his new home with his new Mom and
Dad (Becky Baker - on the right, Billy Wellborn
not in picture) and a Pug mix who is about the same size as Hammy.
We wish Hammy and his new family the best!

HAPPY NEWS SHIANNA WAS ADOPTED!

Shianna (a beautiful
Golden Retriever) is pictured here with her new Mom (Michele
Kale - on the right) and friend (Connie Prutzman
- on the left). Shianna has finally found her forever home.
She came in as a stray, was adopted out once; but returned because
she and the other family dog did not get along. Then Michele came
along and fell in love with Shianna (now called Chloe). Shianna shares
her home happily with two cats (Brady and Katie) both adopted from
the Adams County SPCA. She is doing really great in her new home where
she has two acres to run and play. Connie told us that Shianna loves
to roll in the snow on her back with all four legs up in the air.
Shianna loves to go for car rides. She also gets to sleep in a people
bed with Andy (Michele's fifteen year old son). Shianna is a little
sneaky though, she likes to sneak up on the couch when Michele and
Andy aren't home. She sounds like she is really getting spoiled!!
Great!!! Congratulations to Shianna and her new family!

HAPPY NEWS CHEDDAR WAS ADOPTED!
One of our longer residents
of four months, Cheddar the rabbit, has finally found his forever
home. When Janice Brady came to the shelter she fell in love
with Cheddar and was so happy to be taking him home. Janice has had
several rabbits in her life and we just know that Cheddar will be
living in rabbit luxury. He deserves it after being left at our front
door in a cardboard box with a few little pieces of food. We the staff,
were here when the person dropped him and his brother off and they
didn't even have the decency to bring them inside the door. We will
miss him, but we wish him the best in his new home.

HAPPY NEWS TORA WAS ADOPTED!

Remember Tora?
I was lost deep in the woods found by a guy riding his four wheeler.
I had just gone for a little stroll and all of sudden I was lost.
I tried to find my way back home but it got dark and I did not know
what direction to head. So he brought me here hoping that my owners
would come looking for me, but it has been a whole month and they
haven't come to look for me. I guess they didn't really care. So now,
I have a whole lot of people who care about me here. My name is Tora
and I am about 5 years old. I was a little shy at first, but I am
really coming around. The girls here love the way I gather up all
of my toys and place them on my bed. It's a big job keeping track
of this big pile of toys. I could play fetch all day too. If you like
to play fetch we could have a lot of fun together. Let's have some
fun!!
After two months,Tora has found a new home where she has lots of toys
to keep track of and lots of people to play with her. We are soo happy
for Tora and her new family. Here are some pictures of Tora and her
new family. Think she's spoiled???

Tora pictured here with Cody and Anthony
Aunkst (Father).
From left to right are:
Brothers Cody, Scott, Braeden, (Tora) And Dan.
    HAPPY NEWS BOOMER WAS ADOPTED!

This is Boomer with his
new Mom, Jess Burtop. Boomer was brought in one morning by the dog
warden so horribly matted it was unbelievable. You could not feel
down to the skin. His feet looked like someone had knitted thick,
heavy boots overtop of them. So one of the kennel techs here got out
the shavers and started shaving, it was then that we realized how
skinny Boomer was. He was nothing but bones. Three bags of dog hair
was shaved off. Even though he had been so neglected, he was such
a joy to be around. He was still too thin when Jess Burtop adopted
him, but with his new family he has filled out to a very handsome
little dog and is happy as can be. His new family loves him very much
and we are so happy for all of them.

HAPPY NEWS ROSCO WAS ADOPTED!
Rosco's
guardian angel (Anne Gallon), who has been taking care of him most
of his life, because his owners could not, has adopted him. It was
a very happy day for all of us!!!!
For the past 8 years Anne
has been taking care of Rosco. She took him to the vet to get his
shots, took him for walks etc. When Anne found out that Rosco was
at the SPCA, she started coming to the shelter to see Rosco and spend
some time with him. She cared very deeply for Rosco and knew that
he had not had a very good life. Then one day she came in and said
that she had decided she was going to adopt Rosco. Rosco truly does
have a guardian angel. He was so happy, he was smiling all the way
to her car. We wish Rosco and his new family many years of happiness!!!
